Charles Beans is an accomplished security leader with over 27 years of experience in executive protection, risk management, and criminal investigations. He retired in 2025 as a Technical / Senior Special Agent with the United States Secret Service, where he oversaw the operations of a federal task force and a computer forensic laboratory.
Throughout his distinguished career, Charles directed complex investigations into financial, cyber, and violent crimes while providing protection for U.S. Presidents, Vice Presidents, foreign dignitaries, and other high-profile leaders. He led protective operations at the highest levels of national security, coordinating across federal and state governments, local law enforcement, and corporate partners. He oversaw the security of major events such as the Olympic Games, United Nations Summits, and National Political Conventions—always emphasizing prevention and zero incidents.
Charles was instrumental in advancing the agency’s critical systems protection program and delivered high-level research and recommendations to Congress regarding national security initiatives. An accomplished speaker and instructor, he has taught at the International Law Enforcement Academy (ILEA). Certified in computer forensics and emergency medical response, Charles combines deep technical expertise with strategic leadership in risk management and security program development. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology/Pre-Med from the University of Wyoming (1992).
