The Mindset and Heart Set of Effective Leadership
Headspace Management is a one-day, interactive presentation for professionals at every level, from aspiring supervisors to executives. It is built on eight foundational concepts from Embassy’s nationally recognized Front Line Leadership program, and it challenges participants to examine not just how they lead, but who they are as leaders.
Most leadership training focuses on what leaders know and what they do. This course focuses on how they think and what drives them. Participants explore how mindset shapes the way we respond to stress, adversity, and competing priorities, and how heartset, our sense of purpose, compassion, and genuine investment in people, shapes the relationships and cultures we build.
Topics include:
- What’s Your Number?
- Defining Leadership
- The Four Essential Ingredients of a Well-Rounded Leader
- Know Your Why
- Compassionate Accountability
- Situational-Based Leadership
- Regular Cups of Coffee
- Don’t Get Distracted by What You Cannot Control
Through engaging instruction, personal reflection, and group discussion, participants leave with greater self-awareness, stronger personal accountability, and a renewed connection to the purpose that first drew them to their profession. The principles come from decades of public safety leadership but apply across professions, and participants don’t need a formal leadership title to benefit.
