Description

This 8-hour course is a basic overview of Title 15 Minimum Standards for Juvenile Detention Facilities. Through lectures, facilitated discussion, shared experiences, and case studies, the participants will develop a working knowledge of the regulations established in Title 15 guidelines and special juvenile requirements. Participants will also be able to identify potential legal ramifications if they fail to adhere to those regulations. Participants will develop the insight to analyze their current department policies and procedures and identify risk factors that may lead to non-compliance. Participants will also gain a general knowledge of the performance objectives during inspections and their role within the inspection process.
