Lynn Floyd is a seasoned leader, facilitator, and coach with more than 30 years of experience developing people, teams, and organizations across public safety, nonprofit leadership, and community-based environments. He holds both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree and brings 19 years of law enforcement experience, including nearly 18 years with the Texas Department of Public Safety, where he served as a Trooper, Sergeant, and Lieutenant. Throughout his career, Lynn served in critical roles such as Field Training Officer, peer support team member, crisis negotiator, and departmental mediator, gaining first hand insight into leadership under pressure and the human side of organizational performance.
Beyond law enforcement, Lynn has spent over three decades leading volunteer teams in ministry and community settings and served nearly two years as the leader of a nonprofit organization, guiding its mission, staff, and strategic direction. He currently serves as a Leadership Development Specialist with the Texas Department of Public Safety, where he equips leaders at all levels with practical tools, frameworks, and character-based leadership principles designed to strengthen trust, accountability, and organizational culture.
Lynn is a Certified John Maxwell Team member and a Certified Master of The Leadership Challenge®, the highest designation within the globally recognized leadership program co-authored by Jim Kouzes and Barry Posner. He has delivered The Leadership Challenge® to leaders across the public and private sectors, helping them model the way, inspire a shared vision, and lead with integrity. He is also the founder of Faithline, a support ministry dedicated to serving active and retired law enforcement professionals. Lynn’s leadership philosophy is rooted in service, character, and impact—developing leaders who are prepared not only to lead effectively, but to lead well.
