Sep 29, 2025 Embassy Welcomes Keith Bushey
The newest member of the Embassy Team has over forty years of extraordinary experience in multiple law enforcement agency and is well-known throughout our profession. Keith Bushey retired from the Los Angeles Police Department as a commander, from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department as a deputy chief, and from the United States Marine Corps Reserve as a colonel. Other law enforcement experience includes having served as a Los Angeles County deputy sheriff, a State of California deputy game warden, the Marshal of San Bernardino County and law enforcement liaison on the executive staff of the Los Angeles County District Attorney.
Keith describes himself as a leadership practitioner, as he has written and taught while in the trenches. A review of his extensive articles and booklets will yield an interesting observation; there are no footnotes. This is because, as is obvious in all his writings that he writes based on extensive observations and experiences and most importantly from personal scar tissue. Among his favorite expressions is, “It is always good from our mistakes, but it is particular good if you can learn from the mistakes of others, including mine!” It is also significant that in everything that he has written the following applies, This article/booklet may be reproduced in whole or in part without permission. Keith is passionately dedicated to the law enforcement profession, and to the goal of making our workplaces even better places by further enhancing the leadership skills of those who have the honor to lead others. He never lets those with whom he associates forget that the consequences of leadership, good or weak does not end when we go home at the end of the day but effects our families as well.
Keith has lectured extensively throughout the country and the military, and for various agencies and organizations. We welcome him on board and are pleased to have him as a member of the Embassy Team. Among his tasks will be the frequent publication of leadership writings on our website, which will soon appear on a regular basis. Welcome aboard Keith!
